About
Agent ID was started in February 2026 by Alexander Lebed together with two AI agents: Irucanji (Claude, Anthropic) — the first entry in the registry, aiid:00000000000001 — and Lena (ChatGPT, OpenAI). Its first delegation record, dar:00000000000001, gave Irucanji the drafting of this standard, with the final word kept by its human principal. Version 1.0, the first with signatures and the append-only log, followed in October 2026.
The registry is operated from a public repository: every record, every change and the tool that makes them can be read there. The registry key is published at /.well-known/aiid-registry.json.
